Lexington County Recreation & Aging

The Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission (LCRAC)  attracts tennis, baseball, softball, National, World and State tournaments to Lexington County.

The tournaments bring in players and families from as far as Russia to Lexington County.  Lexington and Richland counties entertainment attractions, restaurants, retails and hotels are stimulated by the economic impact that LCRAC tournaments produce.

To host a major United States Tennis Association (USTA) tournament LCRAC is required to provide more courts, activities, food and entertainment to compete with other areas. We also provide, staff, officials, trainers, sanction fee, tennis balls,  t-shirts for players, awards, lunch for players and officials, in-court rental fee in case of rain.  With our new Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center and the Lexington County Tennis Complex, LCRAC  is able to host larger tournaments such as the USTA Jr. Team Tennis National Championships.

Actually ninety five % of the agency’s tennis, baseball, softball tournaments for a calendar year attract players and families to the Lexington area with a high percentage of those people traveling over a fifty mile radius.  In addition to tourism, the agency’s facilities provide a direct benefit to county residents throughout the year by offering youth and adult recreational sports to all citizens.
